A gait (or transfer) belt can be used to assist a patient during a transfer, while allowing the caregiver to have a safe and sturdy grip. It can be used as a standard gait belt, around the patient’s chest for lifting, or around the patient’s waist for transferring with a Beasy transfer board. Gait belts may also be used around the caregivers waist, so patients have a place to grip onto when they are being assisted.
The premium padded gait belts give extra support and comfort for patients, while caregivers ambulate or assist transfers. Its ½” thick padding is more sensitive to skin and tender areas. Transferring a patient with a strong proper hold can help the caregiver avoid back and leg injuries. Each belt comes with horizontal hand grips, and a 2” fast open/close clip buckle, to accommodate added security while safely guiding, assisting or transferring patients.
